The Mi 10 Pro and the Mi 10 is really identical. They have same camera set-up and screen size. It is made from a beautiful looking glass but we are not happy because it is not protected by a Gorilla Glass. It would have been nice if it is protected by a Gorilla Glass.
The phone has really curved edges and bezels. There is a periscope camera setup at the rear, same setup found on the Mi Note 10 series. The camera set-up consists of four lens. There is a dual led flash beneath the last lens and the “MI” logo at the bottom.
The power button and the volume rockers are at the right spine and it weighs about 208grams. Mi 10 Pro has a dimension of 162.6 x 74.8 x 9 mm and it has a dual Nano SIM slot. There is no micro SD card slot in this smartphone.
If you wish to get it, you can choose from either two colour options that it came with which includes Pearl White and Starry blue.
On the front end, the Mi 10 Pro has a screen size of 6.67inch with a Full HD+ resolution. That is a 1080 by 2340 pixels. There is a 386 ppi density for awesome color reproduction. The exciting stuff here is that the display is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
It uses a Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The peak brightness on the panel reach 1200 nits with a contrast of 5,000,000:1. In order to improve the automatic brightness adjustment on the device, the company has equipped it with dual front and rear light sensors.
This will ensure that the phone’s brightness is controlled well offering a pleasant viewing experience, indoors as well as outdoors. It has almost no bezels and the chin is very tiny which made it to have a screen to body ratio of 89.8%. The phone has an aspect ratio of 19:5:9.
Hardware & Software
Under the hood, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset which is under 7nm process. It runs on Android 10 Q with MIUI 11 slapped on top. The chipset uses an Octa core processor clocked at 2.8GHz and a GPU of Adreno 650 for graphics or gaming.
Storage wise, this phone comes in three configurations which are: 8GB of RAM & 256GB of internal storage, 12GB of RAM & 256GB of internal storage and lastly, 12GB of RAM & 512GB of internal storage. It uses a UFS 3.0 storage. You can’t expand the storage because there is no Micro SD card slot.
Thanks to these specs, the Mi 10 Pro is able to score more than 585,000 points on the AnTuTu benchmark. Of course, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 on board, the phone supports both SA and NSA 5G standards out of the box. The phone also comes with a Vapour Chamber liquid-cooling system with multiple layers of graphite and AI machine learning to keep the temperature under control.
Coming on to photography, the smartphone comes with a four rear cameras which are a whopping 108MP main camera with f/1.7 aperture, 8MP telephoto lens with f/2.0 aperture, 12MP portrait lens with f/2.0 aperture and a 20MP ultra wide with f/2.2 aperture.
On the front, it has a 20MP camera with f/2.0 aperture. The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, is currently the highest-rated DxOMark smartphone with a score of 124 points. This is a point higher than the Mate 30 Pro 5G, which was leading previously.
The Mi 10 Pro supports 8k video recording, OIS, and EIS. They feature AI scene recognition, super night mode, and a variety of movie modes for video shooting. Since it comes with 108MP super high-resolution cameras, Xiaomi has added support for the new HEIF file format.
So, it is capable of capturing images in HEIF instead of JPEG, which will reportedly save storage space by up to 50 percent. The cameras also feature a special document and ID scanner mode which removes shadows and makes the resulting images look like a scanned copy.
When it comes to the battery category, the phone is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 50W wired and 30W wireless charging support. The phone also supports 10W reverse wireless charging. For security, it makes use of an under display fingerprint reader.
