Vivo iQOO 3 is the latest smartphone from Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO. The smartphone is the second smartphone launched in India with 5G network after the Realme X50. Even though 5G isn’t yet installed in India, Realme and iQOO still releases the X50 and iQOO 3. Let’s explore the iQOO 3 specs.

The rear of the iQOO 3 features a vertical rectangular camera module housing four cameras and a single led flash. At the bottom left corner is where you see the iQOO branding. The back is made from glass which is protected by a Gorilla Glass 6 and it has an aluminium frame.
It weighs 214grams with a dimension of 158.5 x 74.9 x 9.2 mm. The smartphone is available in three colours which are Volcano Orange, Tornado Black & Quantum Silver.
For gamers, there are shoulder buttons dubbed as Monster Touch buttons on the left edge of the device. These buttons can be used to map gaming functions such as shoot, jump, fly, etc.
Coming to the display, you can see a tiny punch hole cutout at the top right corner of the display for the selfie camera. It uses a Super AMOLED 6.44inches display with a Full HD+ resolution. That is a 1080 by 2400 pixels with a ppi of 409. The chin and bezels are pretty thin which made it to achieve a screen to body ratio of 84.3% and 20:9 aspect ratio.
The display has 180Hz touch sensing and HDR10+. It is also protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 6. iQOO 3 screen is integrated with an in-display fingerprint reader that unlock in just 0.31 seconds. The glass rear of the phone curves towards the edges.
Hardware & Software
Under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset which has an Octa core processor clocked at 2.84GHz. It runs on Android 10 with iQOO UI 1.0 on top. For graphics or gaming, there is an Adreno 650 GPU responsible for that.
The smartphone comes in five configurations which are 128GB 6GB RAM, 128GB 8GB RAM, 128GB 12GB RAM, 256GB 8GB RAM & 256GB 12GB RAM. It doesn’t have a micro SD card slot, so you can’t extend the storage.
There is a carbon fiber VC liquid cooling technology onboard that can effectively reduce surface temperature by 3.5-degree Celsius and CPU temperature by 12-degree Celsius.
In terms of camera, this device comes with a quad camera setup at the rear which includes a 48MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture, 13MP telephoto lens with f/2.5 aperture, 13MP ultra wide with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP depth sensing with f/2.4 aperture.
It can shoot 4k videos and 1080p videos at 30fps. On the front, there is a 16MP camera with f/2.5 aperture. The front camera can only shoot a 1080p videos at 30 frames per second (fps).
What is powering the iQOO 3 is a 4,400mAh battery which supports 55W fast charging. The Super FlashCharge 2.0 can take this guy from 0% to 50% in under 15mins. For security, it uses an in-display fingerprint sensor which is said to unlock under 0.31seconds.
Connectivity options includes Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and NFC.
Vivo iQOO 3 Price in Nigeria & Availability
The Vivo iQOO 3 price in Nigeria starts from N193,000 which translates to $529 USD and it’s Availablity in Nigeria is not yet confirmed but we don’t think it would be available in Nigeria unless you pre-order from Flipkart or AliExpress.
