Umidigi has finally joined the pop up camera bandwagon with their new S5 Pro smartphone released yesterday. The device has a pop-up mechanism for the selfie camera and this makes the screen free from any distractions. It comes with a beautiful design with a vertical rectangular module housing four cameras.
As far as specifications are concerned, the device arrives with a 6.39inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. Umidigi said that the display is protected with a Corning Gorilla Glass. Under the hood, it is powered by a MediaTek Helio G90T chipset which made it the third smartphone to come with this chipset after the Redmi Note 8 Pro and Realme 6.
As was teased, the chipset puts much emphasis in gaming and also tries it’s very best to cool your phone down under intensive gaming. Thanks to the Mali-G76 MC4 GPU which makes sure that graphics are represented realistically. The smartphone is running on Android 10 operating system, backed up by a 6GB RAM and huge 256GB ROM.
If the storage isn’t enough, there is an option to extend the storage up to another 256GB with a micro SD card. For photography lovers, you are getting a 48MP main camera, 16MP ultra wide, 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, you have a 16MP camera situated in the pop up mechanism.
The Umidigi S5 Pro uses an under display fingerprint sensor for security. Power is steadily generated by a non-removable Li-Po 4,680 mAh battery which supports 18W fast charging with a USB C-cable. In terms of pricing, the device can be bought for $324 USD which converts to 125,000 Naira and Rs. 24,990 in India. It is currently available on Amazon with Ocean Blue and Cosmic Black colours.
