In the early days when the Redmi Note 9 series popped up, we all were expecting to see the Redmi Note 9 and Note 9 Pro as usual because even the last year’s Redmi Note 8 series comes with the standard version and the Pro version.

However, we were disappointed, instead of the Redmi Note 9, the Redmi Note 9 Pro showed up and instead of the Redmi Note 9 Pro, the Note 9 Pro Max showed up. Now we are asking ourselves, were is the standard Redmi Note 9?

Couple of days later, the Note 9s showed up and we thought that the Note 9s will succeed the standard Redmi Note 8 from last year but we are kind of wrong. So finally, the much awaited Redmi Note 9 has showed up and it will be launching very soon.

The smartphone has been listed on TENAA with some few specifications and it has even gotten certified by Chinese 3C certification website, all this hinting an imminent launch. According to the TENAA database, the device will come with a smaller 6.53inch display size compared to the 6.67inch on the other Redmi Note 9 series.

It will also feature a quad rear cameras but we only know the primary lens resolution which is going to be 48-mega pixels, the other three sensors are unknown. The front camera has also been deduced to 13-mega pixels compared to the 16-mega pixels in the Note 9 series.

The battery capacity is going to be 4,920mAh which is lesser than the Note 9 series 5,020mAh battery. Recall that the Note 9 series uses a side mounted fingerprint scanner, this standard Note 9 will arrive with a rear mounted fingerprint scanner. Also, as the Note 9 series has their punch hole at the centre of the display, this one will be having it’s own at the upper left corner.

The smartphone has been speculated to come with a MediaTek Helio 80 chipset and it will arrive in three storage configurations namely; 3GB RAM & 32GB ROM or 4GB RAM & 64GB ROM or 6GB RAM & 128GB ROM. Micro SD card slot is available in case if you wish to extend the storage.

This is all we could gather from the listing, as it has bagged the mandatory certifications, it’s launch might be around the corner. It seems like Redmi has adopted a new nomenclature for their Redmi Note series. So the next year’s Redmi Note 10 will come with a Pro Max version and Note 10s version. Anyways, that’s been it.
