Nokia launched three new devices yesterday which are the Nokia 8.3, Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 1.3. As they sounds, the 8.3 is the biggest variant while the 1.3 is the smallest variant. Nokia has seemed to be putting much interest on the midrange smartphone market recently.
The 1.3 is competing in the entry level market, the 5.3 is competing in the midrange market while the 8.3 is competing in the upper midrange market, normally regarded as flagship killers. All of this smartphones comes with a good design, especially the 5.3 and 8.3.
The Nokia 1.3 comes with a 5.71inches HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 by 1520 pixels. It has a plastic back and frame. The device is powered by a Qualcomm QM215 chipset which has a quad core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. It runs on Android 10 Go Edition with Adreno 308 GPU.
The storage configuration includes 1GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM. Micro SD card slot is available incase if you wish to extend the storage. At the rear, it has a single 8MP auto focus camera and on the front, it has a 5MP selfie camera. What is keeping the light on is 3,000mAh battery.
Taking a look at the midrange Nokia 5.3, it features a 6.55inches HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 by 1600 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset which has an Octa core processor clocked at 2.0GHz.
It runs on Android 10 with Adreno 610 GPU. This one comes in three storage configurations which are 3GB RAM & 64GB ROM, 4GB RAM &64GB ROM and a 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM. Memory card slot is available of course. Camera wise, it comes with a quad rear cameras which includes a 13MP main camera, 5MP ultra wide camera, 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro camera.
On the front it has an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. For security, it has a rear mounted fingerprint reader and what is keeping the light running is a 4,000mAh battery which supports 10W standard charging speed.
The Nokia 8.3 is the biggest of all, it comes with a large 6.81inches Full HD+ IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1080 by 2400 pixels. What is powering the smartphone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset which uses an Octa core processor clocked at 2.4GHz.
It runs on Android 10 with an Adreno 620 GPU. There are two storage configurations which are 6GB RAM & 64GB ROM or an 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM. Micro SD card slot is available for expansion. The back circular module houses a quad cameras which includes a 64MP main camera, 12MP ultra wide, 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it has a 24MP selfie camera.
For security, it has a side mounted fingerprint reader and what is keeping the light on is a 4,500 mAh battery which supports 18W fast charging. The Nokia 8.3 comes in Polar Night colour and it’s two other siblings, the 1.3 and the 5.3 comes with Cyan, Charcoal and sand colours respectively.
As for prices, the Nokia 1.3 is priced at $107 USD(N39,000). The Nokia 5.3 is priced at $204 USD(N75,000) and the Nokia 8.3 is priced at $647 USD(N237,000). They will be available for purchase globally starting from April.
