As promised, the successor of the Hot 8 is here which is the all new Infinix Hot 9. The smartphone was just unveiled in Indonesia today and it will be getting to some African countries very soon. In fact, Infinix Kenya has started talking about the smartphone already on their socials.
The device is the direct successor to the last year’s Infinix Hot 8. It comes with a bigger 6.6inches IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 by 1600 pixels compared to the Hot 8 which comes with a 6.5inches display size. The Hot 9 still retains the same screen resolution.
Under the hood, it is powered by a MediaTek Helio A25 chipset which uses an Octa core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. It is running on the latest Android 10 with the latest XOS 6.0 Dolphin on top, there is a 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. PowerVR GE8320 GPU is responsible for graphics or gaming.
Unlike the Hot 8, the Hot 9 comes with a quad rear cameras which includes a 16MP main camera, 2MP ultra wide, 2MP depth sensor and an extra AI lens which made it a quad cameras. On the front, it has an 8MP camera for selfies or video calls.
The back camera placement is same as that of the Camon 15 but it now comes with a triple led flash for low light capturing. There is a rear mounted fingerprint reader for security and what is giving the device some power is a 5,000mAh battery which supports 10W standard charging speed.
As for pricing, it is currently listed for Rp1.899.000 in Indonesia which translates to $113 USD or N41,000 Naira in Nigeria currency. The release date of the Infinix Hot 9 in Nigeria isn’t known yet but will let you guys know once it is official.
